People who can’t work from home should be “actively encouraged” to go to work. That was one of the key messages from Prime Minister Boris Johnson in easing the lockdown restrictions in England.

In Scotland, along with Wales and Northern Ireland, we are still under stricter measures – but as the lockdown beings to ease here as well, businesses will need to ensure strict health and safety measures to protect their team.

The new normal will mean strict cleaning schedules, enforced Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) workwear/uniforms, social distancing measures, body temperature testing, increased signage and much more.

At AMP Group we’ve been working hard to source solutions to help our customers maintain these required health and safety standards during and after the COVID-19 lockdown period.

From face masks, sanitisers, visors and gloves – to temperature/thermal imaging, deep cleaning services and portable handwash basins – we’ve got you covered.

Our PPE equipment and supplies are all available from our Glasgow depot with a 2-3 day lead time.

Boris Johnson has unveiled a “conditional plan” to reopen society, allowing people in England to spend more time outdoors from Wednesday.

The PM also said people who could not work from home should return to the workplace – but avoid public transport.

He said a new Covid Alert System with five levels would govern how quickly lockdown restrictions could be eased.

He hoped the next step “at the earliest by 1 June” would be for some primary pupils to return to school in England.
